Die fr\u00fcheste dokumentierte medizinische Nutzung von Cannabis wird dem legend\u00e4ren chinesischen Kaiser Shen Nung zugeschrieben, der vermutlich um 2700 v. Chr. gelebt hat. Die medizinische Verwendung von Cannabis wurde im Shen Nung Pen-ts\u2019ao Ching<\/em> festgehalten, einem chinesischen Kr\u00e4uterheilbuch aus dem 2. Jahrhundert, das ein breites Spektrum an Beschwerden \u2013 von Menstruationsproblemen bis hin zu kognitiven St\u00f6rungen \u2013 behandelt. Urspr\u00fcnglich verwendeten die Chinesen Cannabis vor allem in Form von Samen als Arzneimittel. Die medizinische Nutzung der Pflanze verbreitete sich nach Indien, Persien und Assyrien und anschlie\u00dfend in den Nahen Osten, nach Afrika, Europa und schlie\u00dflich in die Vereinigten Staaten.<\/p>\n

Im 19. Jahrhundert f\u00fchrte William B. O\u2019Shaughnessy, der in Indien t\u00e4tig war, C. sativa<\/em> in England ein. 1839 ver\u00f6ffentlichte er On Preparations of the Indian Hemp or Gunjah<\/em>, in dem er seine erfolgreichen Experimente am Menschen beschrieb \u2013 insbesondere die Anwendung von Cannabispr\u00e4paraten zur Behandlung von Muskelkr\u00e4mpfen, Rheuma und krampfartigen Anf\u00e4llen. Wirkmechanismen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Es gibt zunehmend Hinweise darauf, dass die Endocannabinoid-Funktion bei verschiedenen Erkrankungen wie Migr\u00e4ne, Fibromyalgie, Reizdarmsyndrom, Multipler Sklerose, diabetischer Neuropathie, Parkinson-Krankheit usw. vermindert ist. Die Theorie des Endocannabinoid-Mangels geht davon aus, dass ein solcher Mangel genetisch, angeboren oder erworben sein kann \u2013 etwa infolge von Verletzungen oder Krankheiten \u2013 und zu charakteristischen pathophysiologischen Syndromen mit spezifischer Symptomatik f\u00fchren kann. Phytocannabinoide mit \u00e4hnlichen Effekten an Cannabinoid-Rezeptoren k\u00f6nnten einen Behandlungsansatz f\u00fcr diese Erkrankungen bieten. Synthetische Cannabinoide sind im Labor hergestellte Verbindungen, die so konzipiert sind, dass sie die Struktur oder Funktion endogener Cannabinoide oder Phytocannabinoide nachahmen. Die meisten dieser synthetischen Pr\u00e4parate basieren auf THC, einem nat\u00fcrlichen Cannabinoid. Zu den unerw\u00fcnschten Wirkungen synthetischer Cannabinoide k\u00f6nnen Herzinfarkte, Paranoia, starke Angst, \u00dcbelkeit, Erbrechen, Verwirrtheit, Koordinationsst\u00f6rungen und Krampfanf\u00e4lle geh\u00f6ren. Interessanterweise berichteten einige Personen \u00fcber starke Zwangsimpulse und anhaltendes Verlangen, den Konsum selbst noch eine Woche nach dem Entzug wieder aufzunehmen, w\u00e4hrend andere Entzugssymptome wie Kopfschmerzen, \u00dcbelkeit und Erbrechen beschrieben.<\/p>\n

Pharmakokinetik<\/strong><\/p>\n
